Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or accessing the EmbedCV service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of service

EmbedCV ("we", "us") provides an AI-powered CV builder available both as a standalone web application at embedcv.com and as an embeddable SDK for partner platforms (job boards, EdTech platforms, freelance marketplaces, and similar). The service allows users to build a master profile and generate ATS-optimised CVs and cover letters using AI. Credits are consumed per generation and purchased in packs via Stripe.

3. Credits & payments

• New accounts receive 3 free credits upon sign-up.
• Additional credits are purchased in packs via Stripe Checkout.
• Credits do not expire and are non-transferable between accounts.
• All payments are final. Refunds are issued at our discretion within 7 days of purchase only if a verified technical fault on our side prevented the service from functioning.
• If you access EmbedCV through a partner platform, credits may be managed by that platform according to their own terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or unlawful content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI generation API.
• Create multiple accounts to exploit free credits.
• Use the service to generate CVs commercially on behalf of other users without prior written permission from EmbedCV.
• Circumvent or interfere with any security or authentication mechanism, including Shadow Token generation.

5. AI-generated content

EmbedCV uses OpenAI APIs to rephrase and select content from your profile. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated CVs and cover letters before submitting them to employers. EmbedCV makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated output.

6. Partner integrations

Partners who embed EmbedCV via our SDK are subject to a separate Partner Agreement. End users accessing EmbedCV through a partner platform are subject to both these Terms and the partner platform's own terms of service.

7. Intellectual property

The profile content you enter remains your property. By using the service, you grant EmbedCV a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely to deliver the service described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Generated CVs are owned by you.

8. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France.
